Yesterday, we had a heated discussion over whether we should take the selective courses actively. The result is as follows.
75% of the students think we should take the selective course actively. First, it helps us gain more knowledge, which will broaden our horizons. Secondly, by taking the selective course, we’ll improve our ability of solving problems and enjoy the happiness of success. That helps to shape our character. Last, it helps to develop our creativity and communication skills.
However, 25% of the students have the opposite opinion. They think selective courses will cut in the study time if not dealt with properly, which will become a new burden to us. What’s more, some students consider it as a leisure time, when they will just set their mind at rest. Then, they complain that they can not find a selective subject that really interests them.
In my opinion, we will benefit from such a practical course and get more knowledge in an interesting way.
