An old woman had lost her eyesight completely. So she went to a doctor to help her see again and made a bargain with him. If he could cure her,he would be paid handsomely (慷慨地) . But if he couldn’t,she would not pay him anything.

   The doctor had a special medicine. And he had cured a lot of people who were sightless. Then the doctor began to visit his new patient daily.
