那兩年,逢年過節(jié),養(yǎng)魚的蔡婆總要給我家送幾條新鮮的魚來。我有點(diǎn)討厭父親,集市上什么魚都有,為什么父親偏偏喜歡蔡婆的魚呢? 我問蔡婆,你咋知道我爸爸喜歡吃你家的魚哩?蔡婆說,你爸爸呀,是個饞貓,為了吃我的魚,每天晚上敲我的門。父親真沒出息。
父親在鎮(zhèn)里的一家工廠上班,兩班倒。但父親很少上白班。父親每天晚上從鎮(zhèn)里回來,要翻過一面坡,再翻過一面坡,七八里路,上坡下梁地要走半天。就在那兩面坡中間,有一塊洼地,蔡婆的魚塘就在那里。
父親說,蔡婆不容易。蔡婆那個做生意的丈夫卷走了家里的所有積蓄,扔下三個孩子跑了。為了養(yǎng)家糊口,蔡婆包了山洼里的魚塘,并在魚塘旁蓋了間簡陋的土房子。然后,把孩子扔給老人,一年四季,蓬頭垢面地照看著她的魚塘。每天晚上,父親下夜班,騎車路過那魚塘的時候,總要去敲敲她的門。嘟——,嘟嘟——,舅奶,睡了沒有?屋子里亮著油燈,蔡婆還沒睡。她便喚父親進(jìn)去,有一搭沒一搭地說幾句話,然后,父親才走。有時候,父親下夜班很晚,蔡婆屋子里的油燈早已熄滅了,但父親依然要去敲敲蔡婆的門。聽著屋里的蔡婆在睡夢中含混地應(yīng)了,父親才走。
我問父親,為什么要去敲蔡婆的門,是想吃她養(yǎng)的魚嗎?父親摸摸我的頭,笑笑說,你還小,不懂。我已經(jīng)不小了,都上初中了!我一本正經(jīng)地喊。
父親依舊每晚去敲她的門,蔡婆依舊逢年過節(jié)送魚來。
后來,我大學(xué)畢業(yè)了,父親退了休,蔡婆也不養(yǎng)魚了。混得不錯的兒女們,把她接進(jìn)了城里,讓她去安享清福。有一次,我和父親談起了蔡婆,談起了那些年的事。父親突然嘆了口氣,說,其實(shí)啊,這里還有一個故事呢。
你奶奶是生你五叔的時候,難產(chǎn)死的。你爺爺受不了這個打擊,想不開,幾次想尋短見。村里有一個叫楊有貴的人,就經(jīng)常來勸他,說,為了孩子們,你也得活下去啊。但你爺爺還是不能從悲傷中走出來。那一段日子,每天晚上,楊有貴都要來咱家坐坐,或者拉家常,或者聊東說西。即便真的沒話說了,也要干坐著,一直待到很晚才走。
你爺爺后來說,如果沒有楊有貴這個人,如果沒有他每晚來陪著坐一陣子,也許,咱們家就沒有今天。所以,你爺爺臨去世的時候,語重心長地和我說,伸出手來可以扶人,拿出錢來可以幫人,人在遭難的時候,就是有人陪著說說話,也是能救人的。
爸爸深深記住了爺爺說的這句話。那幾年,蔡婆不容易,爸爸想幫幫她。于是,每天晚上去敲敲她的門,就是想讓她知道,                                            。

Breaking Bad Eating -Habits
Have you heard the expression "You are what you eat"? Well, do you like who you are’’
If not, break some bad eating habits and feel better about yourself.
Bad habit 1: ______________
Many packaged ( =" in" small bags) foods, such as frozen (纖維) dumplings ,rice rolls
and instant noodles (方便面) have lots of fat and calories (熱量).
The solution: Read the instructions to find the healthiest foods that are low

池莉讀《花經(jīng)》
①一個人一生可做的事情很多,但世上不知多少聰明人,一生沒有搞好一件事。在很長一個人生階段里,我只長年歲不長心眼,想來真是癡長。
②先前,我外婆家屋后有一座大園子,園子里頭長滿花木蔬菜和中草藥,芙蓉花、雞冠花、桃樹、垂柳、小白菜、香蔥、車前草、雞血藤等混長在一個園子,引得蜂來燕往蝶飛蚓爬,使兒時的我玩得十分著迷。
③當(dāng)然,這種私家的園子后來很快就沒有了,支援了國家建設(shè)。園子變成了一座絲織廠,工廠的圍墻抵在我家屋后,整日整夜哐當(dāng)哐當(dāng)?shù)仨,我不喜歡這聲音。從此,我一直心懷渴望,非常非常想養(yǎng)花種草?释c日俱增,可多年來就偏是沒有機(jī)會,既沒有自己的住房也沒有自己的一寸土地。
④十幾年熬過去,去年分得一套公寓,奔到陽臺上一看,發(fā)現(xiàn)竟然留了養(yǎng)花槽。這一高興,頭腦轟地發(fā)了熱,不知不覺拿業(yè)余愛好當(dāng)了正經(jīng)事做。一連好些日,提只籃子和小桶,四處挖湖泥。在大大忙了一陣之后,花種上了,草也養(yǎng)上了,菜子也撒上了。然后,抱著肩來來回回欣賞,倒真有一種了卻了某個夙愿的感覺。以后每逢出差或筆會,凡遇上奇花異草,都挺執(zhí)著地弄點(diǎn)回來栽進(jìn)盆里。家里廚房三天兩頭做魚、肉,也常記得將洗魚洗肉的水倒入花槽。
⑤可是到了秋季,結(jié)果并不理想。葡萄才結(jié)了幾顆,花兒沒開幾朵,從廬山植物園特意帶回的碗蓮之類也都死了。怎么回事呢?為此,我特意找了《花經(jīng)》來讀,讀著讀著,心中漸亮。合上《花經(jīng)》,扔下花鏟,淡然一笑:我不再養(yǎng)花了。實(shí)際上,《花經(jīng)》這本厚書我翻來覆去看的只是前面一節(jié):序言。
⑥序言里簡潔地記敘了本書作者之父黃岳淵先生的一段經(jīng)歷。黃岳淵先生在宣統(tǒng)元年的時候本是一名朝廷命官,斯時年將三十。有一日黃先生想:古人曰三十而立,我該如何立人呢?他想,做官要應(yīng)付人家,做商呢,又要坑害人家,得做一件得天趣的事才好,才算立了為人的根本,于是,黃先生毅然辭官隱退。他做什么呢?他購買田地十余畝(時田價每畝約二十金),漸擴(kuò)充至百畝。黃先生從此聚精會神,抱甕執(zhí)鋤,廢寢忘食,盤桓灌溉,甘為花木之保姆。果然,黃家花園欣欣向榮,蒸蒸日上,花異草奇,聲名遠(yuǎn)揚(yáng)。每逢花時,社會名流裙屐聯(lián)翩,吟詩作賦。更有文人墨客指點(diǎn)花木,課睛話雨。眾人深得啟示:既混濁之世,百無一可,唯花木差可引為知已。
⑦據(jù)說當(dāng)時的文壇名人周瘦鵑、鄭逸梅等人皆為黃先生的花木摯友。黃先生養(yǎng)花養(yǎng)出了精神文明,養(yǎng)出了人間知已,養(yǎng)出了《花經(jīng)》這等好書,恐怕這才叫養(yǎng)花種草!這才叫做了人生一件事!
⑧一件事要做好,豈能憑你心中有一點(diǎn)喜歡?有一點(diǎn)迷戀?三天澆點(diǎn)水,五天上點(diǎn)肥?
⑨曾少年狂妄,自以為聰明。把表面的一些由頭借來,實(shí)際標(biāo)榜自己為至情至性之人。這也做做,那也試試,好聽人評價個多才多藝。近年來國家大興經(jīng)濟(jì),文人紛紛“下海”,我也曾與人發(fā)議論說作家的智商是足夠經(jīng)商的。最近由讀《花經(jīng)》而獲頓悟:人的一生只能做一件事。政客們終身搞陰謀,商人們終身搞欺騙,情種終身搞愛情(比如賈寶玉),黃岳淵先生終身搞花草。一生的時間并不多,一生的精力也不多,要搞好一件事實(shí)在不容易。用去一生,搞好了一件事,那也就夠可以了。世上不知多少聰明人,一生沒有搞好一件事。
⑩總之,我是不敢再說文人經(jīng)商之類的話了,也不敢再狂熱地養(yǎng)花弄草。就連剪裁時裝、研究烹調(diào)之類的興趣也淡了下來,興致所至,偶爾為之,拿得起,放得下,決不長期牽腸掛肚。傻一點(diǎn)兒,笨一點(diǎn)兒,懶一點(diǎn)兒,冷一點(diǎn)兒,就做一件事——寫作,我這一生。
