Last night a strong wind as well as heavily rain struck our area. News came that the trees in the park two kilometers away from our school was blown down. This afternoon, we set off the park to do some cleaning. The head of the park met us or gave us some advice on how to clear away the falling trees, branches and leaves. Some times later, we were working hard when it begins to rain. Because few of us had taken along umbrellas or raincoats, so we were all wet. I’m sorry to hear that you feel lonely in the new school, because you find hard to make friends. Now, I’d like to offer you any advice.
Firstly, it’s normal for you to feel lonely because you were living in a new environment. Secondly, you should greet your classmates when met them on campus. Thirdly, it will be a good idea if you take an actively part in class activities, what can help them learn more about you. Encouragement, what is a kind of power, is very important.
Failing my English exam once got me casting down. My teacher encouraged me not to lose hearts. He said it was no big deal to fail a exam and what mattered was to figure out the reasons instead of feeling sorry for me. I looked into my English paper and realized that the reason why I failed was because I had two weeks’ sick leave. So I made up for the lessons I have missed and my efforts was paid off in the following exams.
Encouragement is great benefit to me and I’ll give it to those who are in need of it.

We took a 20 - kilometer hike last Friday. Early in the morning, we get together and set out on foot. We all carried backpacks with water and food. Upon arrival, we were impressing with the impressive scenery and had a great time. Gradual, we started to sweat a lot. Some of us became out of the breath and some fell behind, but we encouraged each other to keep going. Suddenly one of my classmate fell down. All of us ran up to help her, forget about our own tiredness. We finally managed to walk school. We were such pleased and proud.
What a unforgettable experience! It’s a journey of hard work and challenge, in that we’ve learned to be more determined and strong-minded.

Last Saturday I went to the library as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happened. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.
I am proud what I did. I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need.

There are many similarity between doctors and teachers. First, both doctors and teachers are considering professionals by their communities. Second, both doctors and teachers help others: doctors heal to the bodies of sick people and return them to healthy. And teachers shape the minds of young people and turn them into responsible, educating adults. Last, both doctors and teachers are essential members of a community. It is difficult to imagine a city or town that has not need of neither a doctor or a teacher. Such place would truly be primitive.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for invite me to the summer English course in your school. As for your choice between the two courses, I prefer a four-week course because it will give me more time to do some traveling and make a few new friends. Of all the subject I’m learning at school, I like English best. I had learned English for 6 years but my spoken English remains poorly. So I hope to take this chance improve it. If possible, I’d like to stay with a family in a few days in order that I can learn about any customs in England, which I’m particularly interested in. 【題目】Before I studied psychology, I used to think that people would laugh when funny things occurred. While I was right about that, I discovered there are lots of other psychological factors that make people laugh other than the funny part of a joke. When someone laughs at a joke, there will usually be more than one reason that makes him laugh—and the more reasons there are, the more powerful the joke will be.
I was attending a stand-up comedy show in Egypt, and when the man started to make fun of pedestrians crossing streets, everyone laughed their hearts out. The main reason those people strongly laughed was that almost all of them felt angry towards pedestrians who crossed streets carelessly. The joke wasn’t only funny, it also made the audience feel that they were right about being angry at those pedestrians. That is, people were laughing both because of the funny joke and because of the happiness experienced as a result of the psychological support they got.
The better a joke makes a person feel, and the more it includes other psychological factors, the more the person will like it. For example, if you envy one of your friends, and someone tells a joke that is funny and, at the same time, makes your friend seem stupid, then you will probably laugh at it louder than if you weren’t jealous of him.
In short, we don’t laugh only when we hear something funny; we also laugh when we experience some kind of happiness that results from the other psychological factors involved in the joke. I strongly discourage making fun of anyone or belittling someone to make someone else laugh. All I want to explain is that if your joke supports a person’s emotions, he will certainly like it a lot.
