One possible version:

Recently there's much debate online about whether it's a wise decision to ban the use of web slang.

Some netizens are for the ban on web slang. For one reason, it will help keep the Chinese language in good use, and what's more, too much slang would make it more difficult for people of different ages to communicate with and understand each other. To make matters worse, the youth will possibly fail to use good and standard Chinese.

The others are against the ban. They argue that more new words should be added to our language with the development of our society, and web slang is a good reflection of people's life and can help us keep up with the times. In addition, it's more convenient for people to communicate while using web slang.

In my view, it simply makes no sense to put an end to the use of it.
