Rivers are one of our most important natural resources(自然資源). Many of the world’s great cities are located on rivers, and almost every country has at least one river flowing through it that plays an important part in the lives of its people.

As the cities grow in size and industries increase in number, the water in the rivers becomes polluted with chemicals and other materials. “Homestay is a form of study abroad program. It allows the visitor to rent a room from a local family to better understand the local lifestyle. It also helps to improve the visitor’s language ability,” said a teacher during a school meeting last term, “Students who wish to learn more about foreign cultures or to get foreign experiences should join this kind of holiday. Spain is famous for its tomato festival, called La Tomatina. It happens in a small town Hanoi on the last Wednesday of August every year.
