So you should try to select a summer camp for your kid so that after he returns from the camp, the first thing that he asks you is when you will send him again for camping. Ask for advice from your child's school teachers
Go to your kid's school and ask his teachers whether they can give you names of some of the summer camps they consider to be the best.

I am a professor of sports and exercise so I often deal with nervousness in my research with sports people. Actually, most people experience nervousness at some time or another.
If you are feeling anxious, my advice is to first find the cause or causes. Make s list of those things that are making you nervous and work out which ones you can do something about. Focus all of your efforts on managing the causes that you can control.
Most people cannot tell the difference between controllable(可控制的) and uncontrollable causes, so things they can’t control become a big reason for nervousness. Dealing with this is very important if people want to keep a healthy mind.
Simply try to accept the uncontrollable causes of nervousness. You might be worried about the weather on a big day, an accident or an attack on the train, or perhaps just things that other people are doing at work. The results may be very important but there is still no use worrying because you can’t control any of these things. Accept that you can’t control everything. Once you understand this, it becomes easier not to worry.
If a situation, such as swimming, is causing you to be anxious, try to face it as often as possible so that you can get used to it.
It can often help to think about yourself doing the thing that makes you nervous—then close your eyes and imagine it going well. Imagine how the flight or job interview is going to happen so that you can get used to it. This will help you understand that the thing you fear most is probably not going to happen.

(One day Alice runs after a strange rabbit and comes into a deep hole. She becomes smaller when she wakes up the next day. She finds herself in a wonderland with many amazing things inside.)
The Caterpillar(毛毛蟲) and Alice looked at each other for some time in silence. At last the Caterpillar took the pipe out of its mouth, and said to her in a tired, sleepy voice.
“Who are YOU?” said the Caterpillar.
This opening for a talk couldn’t make Alice at ease. Alice replied, rather shyly, “I----I hardly know, sir, just at present ----at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.”
“What do you mean by that?” said the Caterpillar, “Explain yourself!”
“I can’t explain MYSELF. I’m afraid, sir.” said Alice, “because I’m not myself, you see.”
“I don’t see.” said the Caterpillar.
“I’m afraid I can’t put it more clearly.” Alice replied very politely, “for I can’t understand it myself. And being so many different sizes in a day is very puzzling.”
“It isn’t.” said the Caterpillar.
“Well, perhaps you haven’t found it so yet.” said Alice. “But when you have to turn into a chrysalis(蛹,繭)----you will some day, you know ----and then after that into a butterfly, I think you’ll feel it a little stranger, won’t you?”
“Not a bit.” said the Caterpillar.
“Well, perhaps your feelings may be different.” said Alice. “All I know is, it would make ME feel very strange.”
“You!” said the Caterpillar scornfully(鄙視地). “Who are YOU?” The question brought them back again to the beginning of the talk. Alice felt a little angry because the Caterpillar was making such VERY short sentences. She drew herself up and said very seriously, “I think you ought to tell me who YOU are first.”
“Why?” said the Caterpillar.
Here was another puzzling question. As Alice could not think out any good reason, and as the Caterpillar seemed to be very unpleasant, she turned away.
“Come back!” the Caterpillar called after her. “I’ve something important to tell you!”
This certainly gave Alice some hope. Alice turned and came back again.
【小題1】Where may their talk take place?
A.In a wonderland. | B.In the field. | C.In the tree. | D.Outside the hole. |
A.Because she was too young to understand the changes. |
B.Because being changed several times in a day made her feel puzzled. |
C.Because she didn’t like her changes |
D.Because she didn’t feel very well. |
A.“Don’t be silly. You are still yourself.” said the Caterpillar. |
B.“Don’t be angry. You think you’re changed, do you?” said the Caterpillar. |
C.“Don’t be sad. You’ll grow bigger again.” said the Caterpillar. |
D.“Don’t be afraid. You can go home now.” said the Caterpillar. |

Most students think my reasons for this rule include negative experiences in the past when students made wrong use of technology. There’s a bit of truth to that. I’ve seldom had students make wrong use of technology in my classes; however, I have been e-mailed by students while they were in other teachers’ classrooms.
Some students think that I am anti-technology. There’s no truth in that at all. As I noted above, I love technology and try to keep up with it.
The real reason why I ask students to leave technology at the door is I think there are very few places in which we can have deep conversations. Interruptions (中斷) by technology often break students’ thoughts and make them depend too much on outside information for ideas. I want students to dig deep in themselves for ideas. I want them to push each other to think differently and to make connections between the course material and the class discussion.
I have been teaching my history class in this way for many years and the evaluations (評價) show student satisfaction with the environment that I create. Students realize with deep conversation and difficult tasks, they learn at a deeper level – a level that helps them keep the course material beyond the classroom.
I am not saying that I won’t ever change my mind about technology use in my history class, but until I hear a really good reason for the change, I will continue my plan. A few hours of technology-free dialogue is just too sweet to give up.

D.Students are unhappy with the writer’s way of teaching history. |
A.technology has different influences in different classes in college |
B.technology makes it difficult to have true communication in class |
C.history classes can help students to develop their deep thinking |
D.it is time for him to give up his teaching method in history class |

Dear Mary :
Thank you for your last letter. I’m happy to know that you will spend your holiday in Hawaii(夏威夷)this summer .You said you wanted to know something about Hawaii.
Hawaii has always been a magic name to people who like travelling because of the scenery(景色) .People from all over the world dream of seeing the beautiful islands. It’s always one of their dreams to watch the sun going down. At weekends , my family and I often watch the sunset at the seaside. It’s really exciting.
Hawaii is a fun place to go. Long long ago, the first people went to Hawaii in a small boat . They found the place quite beautiful. But it was difficult for travelers to go to Hawaii at that time. And there were no big hotels like the ones today. Now things have changed. Lots of nice big hotels have been built in recent years. However, the nice view in Hawaii hasn’t changed much. In the morning , many tourists often take a walk along the water in. At night , they get together to hold parties, chatting and dancing.
Now , you see Hawaii is really a good place to visit. I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.
Yours
Kate
