We use passwords(密碼)to keep our personal information secret and safe, but some passwords we use may not be as reliable as we think.
Splash Data, a computer security company, recently released a list of the 25 worst passwords of 2011.This list is based on the research of hackers’ files containing stolen passwords. According to the list, “password” is the worst and most common password. Many others on the list are numbers in order either forward (for example,1234) or backward. Letters on the keyboard in order, such as “qwerty” are also common, as well as some first names and animals. “Hackers can easily break into many accounts(賬戶) just by trying common passwords again and again, ” said Morgan Slain, CEO of Splash Data.
How can you make a strong password? It should be eight characters or more, with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols. One way to create a long and easy-to-remember password is to separate short words with spaces or numbers. Having safe passwords is necessary for surfing the Internet safely. But it’s not the only thing you must do to keep safety online. Here are some other web safety tips:
●Never give out information that will allow someone to find you offline. That includes your full name, address and phone number.
●Don’t include your real name as part of your online screen name.
●Never meet people you met on the Internet in person. If you insist on breaking this rule, meet in a very public place and consider taking an adult with you.

We are told breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and dinner the most enjoyable. But what about lunch? In today’s fast-paced society, not many people take time to enjoy this midday meal. We just take a quick salad, or buy a sandwich and eat at our computers. Sometimes, if there is a deadline around the corner, we just give up lunch. The development of technology hasn’t done our eating habits much good, either. We are constantly distracted(分神) by e-mails, social media, 24-hour news, and hand-held electronic devices.
Long working hours can cause all kinds of health problems. Employers should encourage workers to take time off for lunch. This is because long lunch breaks can benefit both people and society. To take a lunch break is to slow down and gain some views. A break from work allows us to think cleverly and outside the box. It also puts our daily tasks into a wider context(環(huán)境).
What we eat at lunch is also important. A fast-food lunch is more harmful than not having lunch at all. And it’s not just about calories and unhealthy food. Recent studies show that fast food also has negative effects on how we think. However, if we sit down at a proper restaurant and chat leisurely with colleagues, we are more likely to slow down and talk about something that hardly can be achieved in a noisy and crowded fast food chain.
1.Do many people take time to enjoy the midday meal?
2.What can cause all kinds of health problems?
3.Why should employers encourage workers to take time off for lunch?
4.Which is more harmful, having a fast-food lunch or not having lunch at all?
5.What are the writer’s suggestions?

On Thanksgiving Day, a teacher asked her class of first-graders to draw a picture of something they were thankful for. She thought that these children from poor families actually had little to be thankful for. And she found most of them drawing pictures of flowers or tables with food. The teacher was very surprised to see the picture Douglas handed in. It’s a hand, a simple hand.
But whose hand? The class were very interested in the strange picture. “I think it must be the hand of God that bring us food,” said one child, “A farmer,” said another, “Because he grows beautiful flowers.” Finally when the others were at work, the teacher went over Douglas’ desk and asked whose hand it was. “It’s your hand, Teacher,” she said quietly and shyly.
She remembered that she had often taken Douglas, a dirty lonely child, by the hand while having a class break. She often did that with the children. But it meant so much to Douglas. Perhaps this is everyone’s thanksgiving, not for the material things we get, but for the chance, in whatever small way, to give to others.
1.When did the story happen?
A. On Christmas Day. B. On Teachers’ Day.
C. On Mother’s Day. D. On Thanksgiving Day.
2.Why did Douglas draw the picture?

B. His teacher asked him to draw it.
C. He wanted to show his thanks to the teacher.
D. He hoped to get a prize in drawing.
3.What do you learn about Douglas from the passage?
A. He was a lonely child. B. He was very active in class.
